StowTap

Terms of Use

Effective date: September 30, 2026

These Terms of Use, together with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement below, are the agreement between you and StowTap's developer for using the StowTap app.

License agreement

StowTap is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula . That agreement governs your license to use the app; the sections below add StowTap-specific terms for the subscription and AI features.

Subscription: StowTap Pro

AI allowance — fair use

Identifying items by photo uses one "AI snap" from your monthly allowance. AI search (by meaning or by photo) uses a snap on Pro; on Free it uses one of 3 free AI searches each month instead:

PlanMonthly AI snapsWelcome bonus
Free30 / month100, one-time (it doesn't expire)
Pro1,000 / month—

The welcome bonus is a one-time gift of 100 snaps for a new account. It is used after the month's snaps run out and never refills. Estimating values for things you saved earlier (Pro) uses one snap for each thing. A failed or unusable AI attempt does not use up a snap. Typing item details in by hand, browsing, searching your own inventory, printing or scanning labels, and using NFC tags are always free and don't count against this allowance, on any plan. This allowance is for your own normal, personal use of the app — not for automated, bulk, or resold use.

AI results and value estimates

Item names, categories, tags, and value ranges suggested by AI are a starting point, not a guarantee. AI can misread or miss items in a photo, and value estimates are rough guesses, not an appraisal — always double-check anything that matters (insurance, resale, taxes) before relying on it. You can always edit, correct, or type things in yourself, and you can turn AI off entirely in Settings.

Acceptable use

Use StowTap only for lawful, personal home- or personal-property inventory purposes. Don't try to disrupt, reverse-engineer the server side of, or abuse the AI features of the app (including automated scripting of AI requests or attempting to exceed fair-use limits by other means).

No warranty beyond the EULA

Except as stated in Apple's Standard EULA above, StowTap is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for lost or damaged inventory records to the extent excluded by that agreement — that's also why StowTap gives you a full, real export of your data whenever you want one.

Changes

If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know inside the app.
